2008 Student Representative for the Board of Trustees Candidates
Robert Maxwell
Studies: First-year Law Student with a under-grad degree in Criminal Justice



Platform:

1.) My plan includes a reformation of the student activity fees, the publishing of the professor’s code of conduct and a way to make books cheaper.
2.) Plan to start a president’s council were all origination presidents will come together to discuss issues.

Sheree King
Activities: Second-year Law Student, Black Law Student Association volunteer, the Graduate Student Government Association, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity volunteer
Platform:
1.) Continue to raise the standard of accountability set by past Student Trustees
2.) Championing the cause of student groups that are often underrepresented
3.) Lobby DC City Council to allow UDC to function more independent of the DC government

Activities: Latino Student Association, LGBT Support Organization, Student Orientation Chair, International Student Union
Platform:
1.) Strong administrative skills and can handle all the administrative duties of the USGA.
2.)Work within the system in the best interest of the students, representing the student body to get the needs of the students meet.

1.)Make the process easier for organizations to access funds
2.)Raise the bar of what people expect of elected officials
3.)Working with the mayor’s office to streamline the process for accessing funds

Platform:
1.) I believe that I possess the passion and commitment to serving UDC.
2.) I believe that there are other students who are also both willing and capable of making the USGA one of the most powerful forces for change on campus if given the opportunity.
